How does this sound?

We are getting married on the beach next year. It will be very laid back and comfortable. so for the ceremony, the bridesmaids will wear short (cocktail length) dresses and the men will wear khaki colored linen pants and shirts to match the dresses (I'm thinking orange/coral or sage green) and i will wear a not at all fancy white dress and the groom in the same pants as the other men with a white shirt.


the flower girl (4 1/2) will actually be in a mermaid costume (not THE LITTLE MERMAID ariel) and will be throwing shells rather than flower petals and the ring barer (2 1/2) will be a pirate with either a sand pail with the rings or a treasure chest with big gaudy fake rings (this will be fake either way)


I have a very silly sense of humor and thought this would be a cute idea...what do you all think?

How does this sound?
I love it but I wouldn't wear a gown too casual. You don't want guests or the bridesmaids dresses to look fancier. One of these gowns might be nice and are meant for something more casual but are still beautiful.

Good luck to you...sounds like you got the hard part figured out. :) There are TONS of cute beach invites, favors, flutes, etc on ebay for cheap too! :)
Reply:I am more of a traditionalist, so this was a little off the wall for my own wedding, but if that is what you want...go for it. You are definitely an original. Just remember, you are going to have these pictures for the rest of your life, so if you think in 40 years that you are still going to be happy, then by all means!
