Does anyone know of a good site for instructions on making mini items out of polymer clay.?

Specifially, I want to make some mini flowers, trees, shrubs, (making a fairy garden. does anyone know of any tutorials online, making fairys without a mold.

Also looking for instrution on making the mini groto, palm trees, rustic baby fairy bed. And a tiny cat that can stand on all fours and look realistic, and owl, bird, bird bath, bird nest rosebush, maybe lilac bushes, orange trees, mini solar yard light, mini swing for a fairy.

Or beach , like sand, shells, water, grasses, starfish etc.

All of these I want to make with the clay accept some parts probably of trees or the grotto or some sea shells.

I did see a nice fairy garden online and it showed how to make the actual planter.

I saw miniatures made mostly for doll houses. I am looking for the outdoor stuff.

So I am hoping there is someone out there that knows of great sites or great books, or dvd's.

Thank you.

Sounds like fun! check out your local library, I've been looking for these too and there's lots of info under Doll House Furniture. I have a faboulous book about Wallace and Gromit, that's kind of what you're looking for.

Reply:My online polymer clay "encyclopedia" has loads of lessons, links, examples, tips, etc. for making all of those things.

The site is very large, so here are the names of at least some of the pages you'd want to look at, and some subcategories on each that would cover what you want:

Sculpting

%26gt; "Whimsical" sculptures, under Websites (fairies esp %26amp; fairy scenes)

%26gt; Flowers %26amp; Leaves

%26gt; Other Items to "Sculpt" (animals, bugs, etc.)

%26gt; Settings %26amp; bases

And for books, DVD's, free online videos, etc., re making things with polymer clay, look on these pages:

The Table of Contents page acts as a site map too, so check it for all the other polymer clay techniques and help for basics like baking, finishing, mixing colors, etc., at the site, then click on any page you want to look at from the alphabetical navigation bar on the left side):
